Scientific Seminar on Current Issues of Communication Held at BEU

A scientific seminar titled "Current Issues of Communication" was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The event was attended by staff members of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies, lecturers from the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Pedagogy, as well as students.

Opening the seminar with an introductory speech, Head of the Department Tarana Hajiyeva stated that the event was organized within the framework of teaching the subject "Business and Academic Communication in Azerbaijani Language." She emphasized that teacher-student relations are one of the main directions of modern pedagogy, noting that the effective establishment of these relations has a significant impact on the quality of the educational process and the formation of students as individuals.

Subsequently, lecturer of the Department Narmin Ibrahimova delivered a presentation on the topic "Pedagogical and Psychological Aspects of Teacher-Student Relations." The presentation provided information on the principles of andragogy, which studies adult learning methods, the psychosocial development theory, the role of teachers in forming successful relations, as well as the responsibilities of students. It was noted that the development of social-emotional skills, proper direction of internal and external motivation, pedagogical communication, empathy, and mutual respect constitute the foundation of these relations. 

During the seminar, which continued with interactive discussions, participants exchanged views on the topic and stated that effective communication between teachers and students plays an important role in the formation of mutual understanding, trust, and motivation in the educational process. It was emphasized that such scientific seminars contribute to the strengthening of communicative culture, pedagogical relations, mutual understanding in the educational process, as well as the professional and personal development of both teachers and students.
