A scientific seminar on the topic of “Methods of effective use of scientific databases and technology for preparing scientific articles” has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The seminar, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, was attended by faculty and students.

Islam Islamov, Professor of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Energy, Doctor of Technical Sciences, delivered a speech at the seminar and provided information about the Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings evaluation criteria, Azerbaijan's national h-index, including BEU's position in the national h-index rating. Moreover, the speech also covered the criteria for evaluating the scientific and pedagogical activities of the university's faculty, publishing articles in scientific journals included in the “Web of Science” and “Scopus” platforms, ways to protect against deceptive journals, as well as the algorithm for publishing articles in journals with an impact factor.

The seminar, which continued with discussions, also clarified the questions of the participants.
