Scientific Cooperation Between BEU and Romanian University Discussed

Baku Engineering University (BEU) continues its activities towards the development of international scientific cooperation. Within this framework, a meeting was held with the purpose of establishing partnership relations with the University of Craiova, Romania. 

At the meeting, BEU's Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul and Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Professor Ragib Afandiyev delivered speeches. The speeches noted that the university attaches special importance to international partnerships, particularly emphasizing that the implementation of joint projects with European higher education institutions has been identified as one of the strategic goals. It was stated that cooperation with the University of Craiova is of significant importance in terms of increasing scientific potential and improving the quality of education. At the same time, confidence was expressed that the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of mathematics and applied sciences would be beneficial for both universities. 

At the meeting, Professor Vicențiu D. Rădulescu from the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Craiova and researcher at the "Simion Stoilov" Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy of Sciences delivered a speech. The scientist, who is a member of the editorial board of prestigious international scientific journals and author of more than 10 scientific monographs and over 400 scientific articles, spoke about the importance of scientific and academic cooperation. He stated that the implementation of joint projects and exchange programs would create beneficial cooperation opportunities for both universities.

During the meeting, cooperation opportunities were extensively discussed. Cooperation prospects were reviewed in the areas of implementing joint research projects, preparing scientific articles, and organizing faculty and student exchange programs. At the same time, agreement was reached on developing specific mechanisms for scientific and academic cooperation and planning exchange programs, and holding seminars and scientific events was deemed appropriate.
