A scientific and technical conference dedicated to the 6th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Energy has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Delivering an opening speech, the head of the department, Professor Ramiz Humbatov drew attention to the important issues facing educators and students. He noted that the scientific research experience gained by students during their student years created a favorable basis for them to become good specialists and successful scientists in the future.
Later, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Hamzaga Orujov appreciated the organization of such an event. The Vice-Rector called the presentation of the results of scientific research at the conference a positive step, noting that how each student mastered the content of their specialty subjects was clearly visible at the event.
Moreover, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Agasi Malikov stated that the foundation of scientific successes began with such events and called on students to show a deep interest in research. Stating that the university has all the necessary conditions for this, the vice-rector emphasized that the BEU administration is always ready to support students in this direction.
At the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Asif Guliyev and other speakers expressed the importance of such conferences and the need for their continuous organization.
Afterwards, 17 reports of students from the “Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering” department, dedicated to alternative energy sources, calculation of energy networks, equipment protection, computer modeling of energy supply systems, as well as 11 reports of students from the “Radio Engineering, Telecommunications and Automation” department, dedicated to the study of the characteristics of telecommunication systems, modeling of objects, and automatic control of lighting and irrigation systems were listened to.
Extensive discussions were held around the reports at the conference section meetings.
At the end, certificates were presented to the students who made reports at the conference.
