Rector meets with high-scoring student admitted to BEU in 2022/2023 academic year

Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), professor Havar Mammadov met with Leyla Mammadli, who chose Computer Science Department of BEU (education in English) with 691.3 points in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Expressing his sincere congratulations to the student on her success, Havar Mammadov noted the opportunities created for students at the university, including high-quality education, teaching system in English, dual degree program implemented jointly with Inha University of Korea, availability of laboratories equipped with the most modern equipment. Highlighting important innovations in the life of BEU, an electronic higher education institution, the rector emphasized the work done in the direction of training highly qualified staff and ensuring their employment after graduation. Havar Mammadov also touched upon the role of student organizations operating for the useful and efficient arrangement of students' leisure-time activities and their participation in social life, etc. Appreciating Leyla Mammadli's choice of major and university, the rector advised the student to be active in various events in the social life of the higher education institution.

Expressing gratitude to the rector, student Leyla Mammadli and her parent Yashar Mammadli emphasized that they did a lot of research during the university selection, and they chose BEU precisely because of the listed advantages. Y. Mammadli also pointed out that Leyla graduated from the secondary school of Khatinli village of Tovuz district with a certificate of distinction.

At the end of the meeting, rector Havar Mammadov wished the student success in the new academic year and presented him with a gift on behalf of the university.

Of note, compared to the last academic year, the number of students admitted to BEU bachelor's degree has increased twice. The number of those who scored more than 500 points exceeded 70 percent.
