Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), professor Havar Mammadov has congratulated Leyla Mammadli, who awarded Presidential Scholarship and chose Computer Sciences Department (English) with 691.3 points.
Emphasizing the importance of President Ilham Aliyev's Order “On granting Presidential scholarships to students who entered the higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the 2022/2023 academic year”, Havar Mammadov noted that it was gratifying that Leyla Mammadli was among these students. Speaking about the great attention and care for education and young people in the country, the Rector stated that the establishment of the above-mentioned scholarship aimed to further strengthen the state care for students, provide favorable conditions for their education, as well as increase their enthusiasm for education.
The rector drew attention to the statistical figures of the university, touching upon that the number of applicants scoring more than 600 points increased twice at BEU in the current year.
The rector advised the students to pay attention to education and study and to work more diligently in order to maintain the achievements.
Presidential scholar L. Mammadli said that she was proud to have her name on such a prestigious list and shared her joy with the participants of the event. BEU student added that she would work harder to achieve her goals in order to become a worthy citizen of our state.
