The Rector of Baku Engineering University, Professor Havar Mammadov has met with winners of “The Republican Olympiad on Informatics among High School Students” and “XIV Republican Universiade".

  Professor Havar Mammadov congratulated the winning students and their teachers and awarded the winners with the "Honorary Certificate" on behalf of the university. Giving information about the youth policy of President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, and its achievements, the rector noted that the attention and care for science and education in our country allowed the students to participate not only in local competitions, but also in international arenas. The BEU students are constantly participating in these competitions and become winners.  

   BEU Programmers team of Baku Engineering University (Ulvi Aslanli, Ayyub Najafzade, Nicad Huseynov, team leader - Etibar Seyidzadeh) took 1^st  place in the final stage of the Republican Olympiad on Informatics among high school students that jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and dedicated to “17 May - World Telecommunication and Information Society Day”. Moreover, BEU students-Mammadali Guliyev won the 1st place, and Vugar Rahimov won the third place in 61 kg on the freestyle wrestling competition in "XIV Republican Universiade" among higher educational institutions jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
