BEU Technopark accepted into development program of World Intellectual Property Organization

Baku Engineering University (BEU) Technopark has been accepted into the international development program on “Intellectual Property Management in Technoparks” organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

39 technoparks from 15 countries of the world have joined the program, and BEU Technopark represents Azerbaijan in this prestigious initiative.

Joining of BEU Technopark this initiative is a significant result of the university’s strategy in the field of science, innovation and entrepreneurship in recent years. Taking part in the development program of a prestigious organization is not only a great achievement, but will also serve to expand international cooperation of BEU Technopark, including increasing access to foreign markets for innovative projects of students and researchers, and strengthening the innovation ecosystem as a whole.

At the first meeting, BEU Technopark Director Vusal Suleymanli provided the participants with extensive information about the university’s innovation ecosystem, implemented projects, and the role of the Technopark in the development of innovative initiatives. He also emphasized that joining the mentioned international development program opens up important opportunities for the Technopark in terms of learning advanced practices in intellectual property management, cooperation with international partners and implementation of new projects.

As part of the program, it is planned to develop the activities of the BEU Technopark in accordance with the ISO 56002 Innovation Management System standards.
