"Open lesson" dedicated to the Patriotic War held at BEU

An open lesson dedicated to the 27 September Memorial Day and 8 November Victory Day has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Professor Hamzaga Orujov, Vice-Rector for academic affairs at BEU, Bayram Huseynzade, Vice-Rector for educational affairs, Parviz Mammadov, deputy dean on education at the faculty of Architecture and Construction attended the event.

At the open lesson organized for the II grade students of Industrial Engineering department Khagan Balayev, Assos.Prof. of Department of Social Sciences delivered a presentation about the Patriotic War. He underlined that the further provocations committed by Armenians in the September of 2020 made the start of the war inevitable and Azerbaijani army started counter-attack operations against occupier Armenia armed forces. Kh. Balayev addressed the students with the necessary information about the history of independent Azerbaijan and the war and mentioned that our eternal lands were freed from occupation at the cost of the blood of our heroic martyrs in 44 days. As a consequence of the operation “Iron fist” the enemy was totally destroyed and Azerbaijani army restored our territorial integrity under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

War crimes committed by the enemy that coudn’t stand the victories of Azerbaijani Army targeting innocent civil people in order to shake the will of our people and impair the fighting spirit of our army during the 44-day war were talked over at the event as well. It was emphasized that Azerbaijani cities’ being subject to gunfire with ballistic missiles, phosphorous bombs and cluster bombs were real war crimes and against the international law.

Alongside with this, Armenians’ signing capitulation act, Victory Parade held in 2020, also Azerbaijanis’ demonstrating solidarity abroad and organising marches during the war period against Armenian aggression were touched at the open lesson.

Assos. Prof. Bilal Dedeyev, the Head of the Department Social Sciences noted in his speech that 44-day Patriotic War was written in our history with magnificent letters and today’s students were happy generation, as well as being the citizens of the winner country.
