The founding meeting of "NEW Club" has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

First, the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the meeting, the Rector of BEU, professor Havar Mammadov noted the successful youth policy of the state. Stressing that under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, comprehensive support was given to the science and education of young people, the leading force of the society, and the formed young personnel contributed to the development of our country, Havar Mammadov specially noted the work done during the period of independence to educate the young generation in the spirit of patriotism. 44-day Patriotic War proved the formation of a young generation with a strong sense of patriotism and upbringing in the national spirit during the period of independence, the Rector added that the modern youth were the students of the political school of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the administration of President Ilham Aliyev. 

Listing the work done to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism at BEU and to develop them as personalities, Havar Mammadov spoke about the effective activities of the Student Youth Organization, Student Scientific Society, Student Trade Union Committee, and various student clubs, which play an important role in organizing the social life of students at the university. The Rector stated that the career issues of young people were in the center of attention at BEU and the employment rate of graduates was high, giving recommendations on the activities of the newly created Club in relation to the BEU Department on work with enterprises and career, as well as on a number of issues.

Expressing his hope that "NEW Klub" would stimulate the development of young people and open an important stage in their lives, Havar Mammadov wished success to the activities of the Club.

NAP Youth Union Chairman Bakhtiyar Islamov drew attention to the activity of "NEW Club"s established in higher education institutions of the country. The chairman mentioned that these clubs would play an active role in the implementation of various initiatives and multifaceted projects with the participation of students in social, patriotism, personal development, sports and a number of other directions.

Abbas Aliyev, chairman of the NAP Absheron district organization, also pointed out that youth policy was one of the priority directions in the country, and the development of youth was always supported by the state. Abbas Aliyev added that NAP had made great contributions to this policy through various programs and projects, noting that "NEW Club" would be useful in preparing students for professional activities after education.

Later, the head of "NEW Klub" Adam Babayev, coordinators, Javad Mammadli, Ravan Hajiyev, Aisha Maharramova, made presentations. The activities, goals, directions, projects to be implemented (races, competitions, trainings, events in foreign languages) etc. of "NEW Club" are presented in the presentations, and the main directions of joint activity with clubs at other higher educational institutions were touched upon.
