Xirdalan King Sejong Institute, which operates under the Baku Engineering University (BEU), organized an event called "Hanbok experience", which is the national costume of Korea. The event was held with the support of the Korean language teachers of the dual degree program (DDP) between BEU and Inha University.
BEU-INHA DDP 2021 and 2022 intake students (Cohort 2021 and Cohort 2022) participating in Korean language classes at different levels experienced wearing colorful "Hanbok". They were given brief information about the history of "Hanbok" by the teachers, as well as the method and technique of wearing "Hanbok" were demonstrated.
Of note, "Hanbok" as the national traditional clothing of Korea consists of chogori (blouse) and chima (gown) for women, and pachiji is for men. "Hanbok" is mainly worn in official meetings, holidays and festivals.
This event, in turn, was aimed at helping the students of the 2022 admission group prepare before going to the "Summer School" at Inha University of the Republic of Korea. One of the excursions organized by Inha within the framework of the "Summer School" is the experience of wearing "Hanbok" and the visit of students in "Hanbok" to the Gyeongbok Palace located in Seoul.
