A memorandum of understanding on cooperation has been signed between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and "Bayraktar Technologies Azerbaycan" .

The memorandum was signed by BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev and "Bayraktar Technologies Azerbaycan"  Director Huseyn Topuz.

The document envisages the organization of joint projects in the fields of science and education, cooperation in scientific research projects, as well as the implementation of student internship programs. Moreover, the parties will implement a number of measures to improve the teaching and learning process and bring it into line with international standards.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rector Yagub Piriyev expressed his satisfaction with the concrete results of the discussions held between the two parties at the end of last year, as well as the fact that the company was the first to sign the memorandum of cooperation with BEU. The Rector emphasized that university-industry cooperation has become an important direction of personnel training all over the world today, assessing the development of relations with reputable enterprises to strengthen theoretical knowledge in practice as a commendable development. Touching upon the achievements of the defense industry of Türkiye, Yagub Piriyev expressed his confidence that the cooperation between BEU and "Bayraktar Technologies Azerbaycan"  would make positive contributions.  

Director of "Bayraktar Technologies Azerbaycan" Huseyn Topuz characterized the cooperation formed between the university and the enterprise as a successful step towards training personnel in accordance with modern requirements. Providing information about the projects implemented under the leadership of Selçuk Bayraktar, Technical Director of “Baykar” company, and the upcoming goals, Huseyn Topuz drew attention to the teaching and research potential of BEU in modern engineering fields. He also expressed his belief that the cooperation would yield successful results.

During the discussions on the development of cooperation, the involvement of a group of BEU students in internship at "Bayraktar Technologies Azerbaycan" this year, startup projects at the university’s Technopark, and other issues were considered.
