A presentation of the "AHIK volunteers" program of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
In a presentation aimed at encouraging students to participate in volunteering activities, the Chairman of the BEU Trade Union Committee, Laman Sharifova drew attention to the successful moments gained by both our country and our youth from the volunteering movement that has become relevant in recent years.
At the event, the representative of AHIK Vusala Humbatli gave detailed information to the students about the program. She noted that the purpose of the program is to create a network of social activists working for the welfare of our country, protecting the labor and socio-economic rights of the society, as well as providing support for increasing the knowledge and skills of young people. V.Humbatli emphasized that the main task of the program is to train active and socially responsible young people by attracting volunteers to the events of AHIK, increase their role in solving social problems, mentioning the support for youth employment as the most outstanding aspect of volunteerism.
In the presentation, the volunteer management mechanism, team work organization, motivation, training and conducting seminars were discussed in detail.
In the question-and-answer session of the event, another representative of the confederation Alakbar Bafadarov answered the students' questions about the procedure for applying to the program and selection criteria.
