Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Inha University have discussed preparations for the launch of a dual degree program for the bachelor's degree in the 2020/2021 academic year. Thus, the meeting organized at BEU was attended by Nijat Mammadli, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mujdat Hasanov, Head of Department Education Abroad and Work with Foreign Students.

Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov noted the works carried out on the dual degree program to be implemented under the "State Program on increasing international competitiveness of the higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023". He added that all necessary preparations were made for the program, and an electronic application form (https://forms.gle/QNJeGEU6GcSoMzk88),  and e-mail ([email protected]) were prepared and put into operation for applicants.

The meeting focused on the timely implementation of the dual degree program and the organization of teaching, teacher involvement, review of curricula, dissemination of information to the public through various channels and other issues.

According to the agreement reached between the two universities, the training of specialists in the departments of Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering will be carried out on the basis of the 3 + 1 educational model within the dual degree program. Hence, entrants who score 400 or more points in the first specialty group can take part in the exam organized by the State Examination Center (SEC). Moreover, applicants who successfully pass the online competition (English, mathematics and physics) organized by BEU and Inha University will be able to study at the expense of the state in one of the above 4 specialties.

Applicants must answer the questions of the electronic questionnaire  and send the required documents organized by the University  (https://forms.gle/QNJeGEU6GcSoMzk88) after passing the exam organized by SEC. Thus, they will have a chance to take place in the competition. Applicants who successfully pass the competition will be able to participate in the specialty coding.
