Open lessons on the Khojaly genocide held

Open lessons on the Khojaly genocide were held at Baku Engineering University.

Reports on the Armenian genocide against Azerbaijanis by teachers of the Social Sciences Department of the university Elnur Najiyev, Yalchin Zeynalov, Ramiz Najafli and Khagan Balayev were listened to at the open lessons. The lectures described the bloody crimes against humanity committed by Armenian executioners in the city of Khojaly with the participation of the 366th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the former USSR in Khankendi, and stated that the genocide was one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century.

The speeches also touched upon the events in Aghdaban and Bashlibel in Kalbajar, emphasizing that 33 people were burned alive in Aghdaban, and that the elderly, women and children were murdered in tunnels with particular cruelty in Bashlibel. Also, the silence of international law on the actions of the enemy due to this cruelty and severe torture was called injustice. It was also noted that with the liberation of our lands from occupation in the 44-day Patriotic War, the full restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country as a result of anti-terrorist operations, all our martyrs, including the victims of Khojaly, were avenged, and the magnificent Victory over the enemy symbolized the memory of the Khojaly events as the unity and courage of our people.
