The next scientific seminar on crystallography, crystal physics, especially growing single crystals from solid media has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

In the seminar, the head of the Department of Physics of BEU, associate professor Razim Bayramli gave a speech on "Method of studying the mechanism of structure transformations in optically transparent crystals".

The speaker informed about the nature of the proposed new method for studying the morphology and kinetics of crystal growth in order to determine the mechanism of structure transformations in optically transparent crystals.

In the report, issues such as the process of crystallization from the liquid phase and the study of the crystal surface at room temperature through an optical microscope, the formation and growth of crystal embryos in an optical polarization microscope equipped with a special heater, the effect of crystal defects on this process, and the physical nature of polymorphic transformation were emphasized. Moreover, video materials on the above were shown, and the essence of the new method was explained on the basis of examples.

The seminar ended with discussions on the report.
