BEU begins cooperation with leading research university of Malaysia

The first meeting, which laid the foundation for future cooperation between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), has been held.

Representatives of both universities on international relations and research directions participated in the meeting.

Discussions were held on establishing cooperation relations between higher education institutions, identifying areas of joint activity and initiatives of mutual interest. The discussions considered the prospects of organizing student and teacher exchange programs, joint research projects, including the preparation of scientific publications, establishment of dual degree and academic programs. The potential for cooperation in priority areas such as sustainability, engineering and information technologies was also assessed.

The meeting expressed confidence that the mutual visits planned to be implemented in the near future would be an important step in strengthening cooperation between the universities. The parties also agreed to prepare a draft memorandum of cooperation in the coming period.

It should be noted that USM, founded in 1969, is one of the leading research and development universities in Southeast Asia. Cooperation with USM, which has a high international rating (134th place in the QS ranking), creates significant advantages in terms of new exchange opportunities, implementation of joint projects and access to global academic networks.
