Next "BoostCamp" project starts at BEU

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted the opening ceremony of the “BoostCamp 8.0” educational project organized by students.

Speakers at the event provided detailed information about the “BoostCamp” project, which has already become a tradition and is successfully implemented every year, as well as the planned innovations. It was noted that the project aims to effectively spend the winter holidays of students, as well as to consolidate and develop their acquired knowledge and improve their skills aimed at the requirements of the labor market.

According to the project, accelerated training classes will be organized for first and second year students studying in specialties related to information technologies (IT) and electronics until February 14. Students selected from among the applicants will participate in trainings of experienced mentors in various fields in 5 different groups, as well as seminars of professionals working in reputable companies.

One of the special features of the project is that young people who are studying or have graduated from the last year of university, as well as those who have technical and social skills, are selected to be involved in the project as mentors. Unlike regular classes, “BoostCamp” takes place in a fun and practical way. Practical tasks are worked out in the classes, and at the end of the project, participants submit mini-projects. After classes and lunch break, small games are organized for participants to improve social skills and relieve mental fatigue. In the evenings and weekends, IT specialists with experience in the industry are invited to provide information about their fields, and joint discussions are held.

At the end, graduates of the project will be awarded certificates based on their activity. New graduates will become part of a small IT community by taking part in a group of a network that has successfully participated in the project so far and has performed various activities in the ICT laboratory, as well as participating in activities as organizers or participants of new projects.
