The closing ceremony of the “BoostCamp 8.0” educational project organized by students at Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been held.
Speaking at the event, the head of the Cybersecurity and Computer Engineering Department Jabir Mammadov called the implementation of the project a successful tradition in terms of consolidating the knowledge gained by students and improving their skills aimed at the demands of the labor market. He noted that in the modern education system, the simultaneous coexistence of teaching and practice, as well as the implementation of various competitions and projects, play an important role in preparing students as professionals for the labor market.
Later, the mentor and team leader of the project Huseyn Sharifzada made a detailed presentation about the “BoostCamp” project, which is traditionally held annually. He announced the statistics of the work done on the project in 2017-2025 and added that so far more than 310 students have realized themselves in this project, training has been conducted in 41 areas, and more than 50 seminars have been held. Speaking about the growing interest among students in the project, H. Sharifzada emphasized that this year, discussions were held not only on IT, but also on leadership, career development, education, business world, engineering, etc., and meetings were organized with specialists from different fields. He expressed his gratitude to the BEU rector for the technical support provided for the implementation of the project and the conditions created in the ICT laboratory.
Other speakers at the event also expressed their opinions and made suggestions regarding this project that opens the potential of students and develops their technical skills.
The mentors provided information about the projects prepared by the students. It was noted that in the "BoostCamp", which was attended by 1st and 2nd year students of specialties related to information technologies, electricity and electronics, the groups worked this time by dividing them into beginner and advanced levels, and as a result, the projects "Building and elevator", "Robot arm", "Automatic parking system", "Opening bridge", "Hand-controlled machine" prepared with the close participation of BEU-INHA DDP students were completed.
Afterwards, the projects were demonstrated.
