Texnika elmləri doktoru, Azərbaycan Milli Elmlər Akademiyasının (AMEA) müxbir üzvü, professor Ağası Məlikov Bakı Mühəndislik Universitetinin (BMU) elmi işlər üzrə prorektoru vəzifəsinə təyin olunub.

Doctor of technical sciences, corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), professor Agasi Malikov has been appointed vice-rector for scientific affairs of Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Rector of BEU Yagub Priyev introduced the new vice-rector to the staff.

It was reported that Agasi Malikov graduated from the mathematics faculty of Baku State University and worked in various positions at the Petrochemical Automatic Research and Project Institute. He defended his doctoral dissertation under the guidance of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine V.S. Korolyuk, received the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences and worked as a professor in a number of prestigious higher education institutions.

Agasi Malikov, who is the author of more than 250 scientific works indexed in prestigious scientific databases and published in well-known scientific journals, has prepared 18 PhDs and 2 PhDs. The number of references to his scientific articles is more than 1200, the H-index (Hirsch index) is higher than 18. The scientist, who is the vice-chairman of the Scientific Council for Computer Sciences in the Scientific Research Coordinating Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has achieved a number of important scientific achievements.

It was noted that before this appointment, Agasi Malikov worked as a department head at the National Aviation Academy and also at the Institute of Management Systems of ANAS.

Yagub Piriyev emphasized the tasks facing BEU in the field of scientific research and wished success to the new vice-rector, who has great experience in this field.

On his part, Agasi Malikov mentioned that he would try to justify the trust shown to him and would not spare his efforts in the direction of the development of the university's scientific research field.
