Yagub Piriyev, who was appointed as rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), was introduced to the staff of the university on September 14.

Paricipating in the event, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov emphasized Yagub Piriyev's effective work in the education system and expressed confidence that he would justify the high trust shown.

Touching on the history and activities of BEU, the deputy minister said that the mentioned higher educational institution had an exceptional role in the socio-economic development of our country. Drawing attention to the dual degree program and other projects implemented for the training of highly qualified engineering personnel at BEU, Firudin Gurbanov emphasized the goals and tasks facing the new rector.

At the end, Rector Yagub Piriyev expressed his gratitude for the trust shown to him and added that he would perform his duties properly.
