New bachelor's program at BEU-International Trade and Logistics

International trade and logistics are among the new specialties that will be trained at Baku Engineering University (BEU) from the next academic year. The specialty included in the admission plan of the university is supposed to be taught at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

The main goal of teaching this specialty is to prepare highly qualified specialists who can meet the needs of human resources in the international trade and logistics sector of our country, who have the most up-to-date skills and sufficient knowledge.

Thus, international trade in the conditions of modern competition can be carried out only within the framework of modern logistics management. Therefore, it is important that specialists in the field of international trade have a comprehensive knowledge of logistics. Logistics is not only considered as a transport activity and, in addition to transportation, it is a field that includes the coordination of activities such as reception, storage, and transportation of goods, services, and information to the point where the customer needs them, within the framework of an economic plan.

Specialists in the mentioned specialty are import-export specialists, foreign trade workers, procurement specialists, sales specialists in the production, storage, transportation, marketing departments of all organizations operating in the international arena, in cargo and transportation companies, in the customs and port management departments of the state sector in large cities with foreign trade. they can work as a representative (domestic-foreign market) and marketing employee.

A total of 1,308 planned places are allocated in 30 majors at the bachelor's level of BEU. Of them, 795 places are intended for the Azerbaijani section, and 513 places for the English section. New majors included in the undergraduate enrollment plan include International trade and logistics, Marketing, Communication systems engineering, Materials engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering.
