Under the organization of Sport Club of Baku Engineering University (BEU), a mini football tournament dedicated to the 99th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev has ended among university student.

Speaking at the event, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Bayram Huseynzada noted that after the return of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power, special attention was paid to sports, and a perfect basis for the popularization and development of sports was formed in our country. Emphasizing that the work done in this direction led to high achievements, the Vice-Rector underlined the historical achievements during the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in the National Olympic Committee and the international sport competitions that had recently taken place in our country.

In his speech, Bayram Huseynzada touched upon the important role of physical education and sports in the physical growth of young people, mentioning the measures taken at BEU in this direction, the victories of the University students in various competitions.  

Later, the head of the Sport Club Elshan Hasanaliyev informed about the organization of the tournament. He added that a total of 42 teams competed in the competition, which started in April.

Finance M (Finance Department), All Star (Public Administration Department) and Economy (World Economy Department) teams competed for the first three places in the competition. The first place was taken by Finance M with a score of 6: 3, the second place by All Star, and the third place was taken by Economy team. Maksud Salahli, a student of Public Administration Department, won the title of "Best Player" of the tournament.

At the end, the winning teams were awarded medals and trophies.
