The presentation ceremony of "Skills for the Future" project has been held at the "INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.

The project is designed to ensure the sustainability of innovation in our country.

The presentation ceremony was attended by Chairman of the State Agency Ulvi Mehdiyev, Rector of Baku Engineering University, Professor Havar Mammadov and Rectors of several universities.

In his speech, U.Mehdiyev spoke about the activities of the organization, the works done to create an innovation ecosystem and form its main components. It was noted that the active work of various government agencies, companies and universities was important to unite efforts in the modern challenges related to innovation.

At the ceremony, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations and ADA University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan Technical University within the "Skills for the Future" project. 

 "Skills for the Future" project aims to increase human resources in the field of innovation, and support innovation in education. Moreover, the main goals are to support students in the educational process to develop their innovative ideas and direct them to the fields of discovery and invention, which play an important role in the technological development of our country.

The project consists of two components, including a mentorship programme to train teachers as mentors in universities and an incubation program to train students as startups with the participation of mentors.
