A meeting has been held at BEU with Parviz Aliyev, a veteran of the Patriotic War, who studied in the specialty of the Azerbaijani Language and Literature Education of the Pedagogy Faculty at the University.

Hamzaga Orujov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at BEU spoke of the Great Victory attained under the leadership of the victorius Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in detail. H.Orujov reminded that Parviz Aliyev, the participant of Karabakh fights, was one of the active students, he was always distinguished with his social activities and he successfully took the floor in a range of events at the University. Vice-Rector informed that the BEU student valiantly fought on the liberation of our occupied lands and was heavily wounded with sniper shot in the battles in the direction of Fuzuli. Vice-Rector said that all the University staff was proud of Parviz because of the valiantness he demonstrated in the Patriotic War. H.Orujov wished success to Parviz Aliyev, the veteran of Patriotic War in his future plans.

Touching upon the crucial role the youth had in the 44-day Patriotic War, in his speech at the event, Bayram Huseynzade, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs stressed that the youth who was brought up in the years of Independence and who had great sense of patriotism and national spirit demonstrated remarkable bravery in the liberation of our lands from occupation. Highlighting that the courageous youth who had such qualities that made us proud was the successor of the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Vice-Rector reminded that the head of the state highly estimated the role of the youth in the Patriotic War. B.Huseynzade expressed his gratitude to the Karabakh veteran’s parents and close ones who took part in the event on the behalf of the University and noted that the University closely followed all the activity of Parviz and he would always be held in the center of the attention by the staff of the University he studied.

Karabakh veteran Parviz Aliyev mentioned that he felt the support of BEU staff both during war and in his treatment period after being injured in the battle and thanked for the kind care and attention. Talking abut his memory battles he underlined that Azerbaijani Army won a great victory under the leadership of the victorius Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Then Parviz Aliyev expressed his wish to go on his education at the Master’s degree at BEU.

At the end of the meeting Parviz Aliyev was presented Bachelor’s diploma and gifts on the behalf of the University.
