An event has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) on sending students studying in the last year of the Education Faculty to pedagogical internship.

Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Elshad Abdullayev spoke about the importance of pedagogical internship in terms of enriching students' knowledge. He noted that the last semester of the academic year was very important for students, and said that this semester played a transitional role between university life and work life. The dean reminded the students that they would apply the knowledge they learned at the University in their pedagogical intership. E.Abdullayev noted that 55% of students would have internships, mainly in English-speaking private schools, and 45% in public schools, and wished them success.

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Education, Associate Professor Seyran Gayibov gave detailed information about the nature and rules of the practice, as well as issues related to its organization, the importance of Methodist, pedagogue and psychologist work together in schools. He also spoke about the activities of students during the internship, the rules for calculating the attendance score.

Hazi Gasimov, head of the Internship Department, said that the number of students attending schools and educational institutions working with international education systems increased this academic year. H. Gasimov stressed the importance of attendance and adherence to the internal rules of the school during the internship.

Huseyn Khalilov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy, gave his recommendations on student relations and expressed his confidence that students would present themselves well during the internship.

Later, BEU graduate, a teacher at Oxford School Rufat Asadzadeh made a presentation entitled "Working life in practice."

The conference ended with answering questions of students.

It should be noted that the pedagogical internship will cover February 17-24. Students will have pedagogical internship at the Lyceum named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, European Azerbaijan School, Zirve Lyceum, Idrak Lyceum, Azerbaijan British College, Landau School, XXI Century International Education and Innovation Center and secondary schools in Khirdalan.
