Representatives of Sharif University of Technology Professor Vahid Taghikhani and Sarah Javadi have visited Baku Engineering University. Rector of the University, Professor Havar Mammadov, who received the guests, noted that BEU was established on November 8, 2016 by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to improve the teaching of engineering technologies in the Republic of Azerbaijan and train highly qualified personnel in this field. The Rector spoke about the high level of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and the operation of new industrial parks in Azerbaijan. He gave detailed information about the activities of the University, material and technical base, scientific and academic staff potential, international relations, successes and development strategies.
Professor Vahid Tagikhani informed the participants about the University he represented and the opportunities for cooperation with Azerbaijani universities. He said that student-teacher exchange programs, joint conferences and projects could be implemented together with BEU.
Sarah Javadi said that they mainly supported young startups and gave information about the works that could be done with BEU Technopark in this direction.
The meeting focused on defining areas of cooperation and signed a memorandum of cooperation.
BEU Vice-Rector for International Affairs Manafaddin Namazov, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Afar Alifov and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering Yusif Abdullayev acquainted the guests with the university's technopark and laboratories.
