Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Professor Havar Mammadov has met with representatives of Global Education Project Group of Inha University of Korea.
Noting that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Korea entered a new stage of development under the leadership of the Presidents of the two countries, Havar Mammadov emphasized that the field of education had a special place in strengthening this cooperation.
Mentioning the importance of mutual visits in terms of expanding relations, the Rector spoke about the visit of representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education and BEU to Korea last week. Drawing attention to the next meeting of the Steering Committee of the Dual Degree Program (DDP) between BEU and Inha University, as well as the discussions on the program, Havar Mammadov added that these measures were useful for the development of the next stage of cooperation.
Expressing his gratitude to the university administration for the warm reception, Prof. Seungwoo Han, dean of the Project Group, touched upon that the development of bilateral relations, especially in the field of education, was heartening and that they were interested in further expanding these relations.
Paik Kyun Shin, professor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Inha University, expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with BEU and the relations established in the field of education. Briefly introducing the Rector to the work on monitoring, which would cover December 5-7, regarding the state of implementation of the BEU-INHA DDP, and stating that his initial impressions were good, the guest pointed out that these measures would be useful in terms of further improving the quality of education under the program.
The event continued with discussions on issues of mutual interest.
