Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Inha University of South Korea have held a meeting with students admitted to the dual degree program in engineering at the undergraduate level in the 2020/2021 academic year.
Humay Jafarli, Director General of BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program, and Hyunjin Yang, INHA Project Director of BEU-INHA DDP, congratulated the students on the restoration of traditional education and wished them success in their studies.
Parviz Mammadov, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, informed the students about the assessment of student knowledge, the organization of education, forms of scholarships, examinations and re-examinations. He also noted that BEU library, which met rich and modern standards, was based on international experience, and has about 106,000 books and magazines, operated on the basis of an online system. In his speech, H.Mammadov also emphasized that students must follow the existing pandemic, as well as disciplinary rules during traditional education.
Sevinj Iskanderova, a Senior Specialist of BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program, spoke in detail about the benefits of an international dual degree. She said that students of the dual degree program studied on the basis of the program agreed and decided between BEU and INHA University. Noting that the program was provided at the expense of state funds, S. Iskandarova stressed that the program envisaged the participation of students in a 3-week summer school in South Korea at the end of the second year. She spoke about the teaching of Korean language classes, which was a condition of the program, as well as the importance of participating in exams to obtain a TOPIK certificate.
