The next meeting of the Scientific Council has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The Chairman of the Scientific Council, Rector Yagub Piriyev brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the meeting participants.

Later, in accordance with the agenda, reports on “The results of the financial and economic activities of BEU in 2024” and “The activities of the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations” were heard. Separate discussions were held around each report, and the reports were considered satisfactory, taking into account the proposals and opinions of the members of the Scientific Council.

Afterwards, the issues of approving the changes made to the “Strategic Development Plan of Baku Engineering University for 2025-2030” and “Rules on the application of the differential salary system for professors and teaching staff” were discussed. A positive decision was made on both issues.

At the end, Yagub Piriyev gave a number of instructions and recommendations to the heads of the structures regarding the issues discussed.

At the meeting, which also discussed current issues, Mahir Bashirov, the head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, who is celebrating his jubilee, was presented with an honorary diploma for his fruitful activity in the public and social life of the university.
