Meeting of BEU-INHA DDP students with construction specialists graduates

        A meeting of construction specialists with students of the 2nd and 3rd year of the “Civil Engineering” Department of the dual degree program (BEU-INHA DDP) implemented between Baku Engineering University and INHA University of the Republic of Korea has been organized. The meeting was attended by graduates of the aforementioned program, as well as BEU, as keynote speakers.

       Delivering an opening speech at the event dedicated to the topic “Civil Engineering: From Theory to Field”, BEU-INHA DDP Director Humay Jafarli drew attention to the importance of the meeting held in such a format. Moreover, she noted that the event served to enrich the students’ knowledge in the professional field with practical examples and to provide them with detailed information about the real work environment.    

Later, Aysel Hasanova, a graduate of BEU-INHA DDP, a field engineer of the well-known “SeaBreeze Construction” company, made a presentation and provided the students with detailed information about the responsibilities of a civil engineer both in the field and in the office, various work divisions and the daily activities of an engineer. The specialist brought to the attention of the necessary points about the staged works in the construction process, such as reinforced concrete, insulation, fit-out, etc., and introduced the students to real construction projects. Furthermore, interesting facts and practical nuances encountered in the construction of well-known buildings in Azerbaijan were touched upon. In addition, other graduates of the “Civil Engineering” specialty of BEU - Rauf Suleymanov, the field chief of the aforementioned company, Ismayil Aliyev, Javid Akbarov, quality control specialists, and Togrul Teyyublu, who works as a QA/QC specialist at “Nardaran Invest” LLC, also shared their work experience.

The event continued with a detailed explanation of the importance of quality control in construction, ensuring compliance with international standards and safety regulations, as well as technical audit and documentation processes.

The discussions held in an interactive environment clarified the questions of interest to the students.
