Our compatriot living in England Dr. Yashar Togay (Rahman Khatibi) has been a guest of the Department of Translation and English at Baku Engineering University. At the meeting organized by the department, Y.Togay shared with the students his experience in Azerbaijani literature, especially in the example of poems translated into English from the works of M.Shahriyar, S.Vurgun, S.Behrangi.

    Emphasizing the importance of translating Azerbaijani literature into English in order to bring Azerbaijani literature to a wider audience, the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Natig Adilov also touched upon the current problems in translation. The meeting continued with questions from students and mutual discussions.

     At the end, the guest was presented a souvenir by the University.
