The first master-class has been held at the University within the framework of cooperation between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy (AREA).
Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs at BEU Elchin Suleymanov gave information on robotics and its importance He pointed out that robotics was one of the most advanced areas of engineering in modern times, and countries, including Japan and South Korea was able to bring a lot of profit to their economies. The Vice-Rector noted that students who were active players of the global network community were more fortunate in this area. Moreover, he added that internet technology was rapidly developing, facilitating the whole community and educational life: “In the recent years, the interest in robotics in Azerbaijan has increased. In this regard, various competitions and incentive events are held. The event also aims to increase the enthusiasm of schoolchildren for robotics and develop this desire with engineering knowledge as well as gain a variety of skills”.
The Vice-Rector brought into attention that the “Winter Science Festival” was held every year in the last week of December. He said that with the skills gained in this project, the students would be able to design robots and join the festival this year.
