Lecturers and students of Logistics and Transport Technology Department of Engineering Faculty at Baku Engineering University (BEU) have visited Absheron Logistics Center.
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Center Afgan Mammadov gave in-depth information on the establishment, current activities and prospects of the organization he represented.
It was noted that covering an area of 65,7 hectares, the center provided complex logistics services, including the container, wagon, customs, broker, terminal, storage, office rental, transport və 3PL services. Furthermore, import-export and transit customs operations are carried out by the relevant customs authorities located in the area through a "single window" system.
The meeting was followed by answering students’ questions.
At the end, the students got acquainted with the storage fields, the terminals, the loading/unloading posts, and the work done in service areas of the Absheron Logistics Center. They were provided with necessary information on the operation of warehouses, receipt and execution of orders, customs inspection, sorting, transport documentation.
