Knowledge and art exhibition entitle “My Azerbaijan” dedicated to 28 May-Republic Day has been held at Baku Engineering University. The event was attended by the representatives of Baku City Education Department, Sumgayit City and Absheron District Education Departments and school principals.
The Rector of the University, Professor Havar Mammadov welcomed the participants and thanked them for accepting the invitation. The Rector said that the education policy laid by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Moreover, he noted that as a result of state care for education, students could realize their knowledge and skills. Later, Professor Havar Mammadov spoke about the importance of university-school relations and noted that the exhibition was an example.
Participant got acquainted with the educational opportunities, material-technical base of the University, and the works reflecting scientific, creative and social activities of the students studying here.
Alongside with the secondary schools, the students of Lyceum named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva, Zirva lyceum, Baku European Lyceum, Sumgait Natural Sciences Gymnasium, Sumgait technical and natural sciences lyceum, Sumgait Tafakkur Lyceum participated in the exhibition. Taking into account that the vast majority of visitors are applicants, the University hosted the Open Day. Detailed information about the University, specialties and education process was given.
Visitors of the exhibition were provided with interesting scientific samples and achievements by the Departments of Architecture and Construction, Computer, Chemistry Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Mathematics and Informatics Education, Technopark and ICT Center. Handicrafts and marbling painting by students studying at the Design Department were exhibited under the direction of Arzu Mammadova.
The national dance and songs were performed by the student under the arrangement of Head of Creative Arts Department Zamina Akhundova. The employee of the department Vugar Mammadov sang patriotic songs.
