A joint scientific seminar has been organized by the Department of Mathematics of Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the Department of Mathematics of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology of Pakistan (Karachi).
The first seminar held as part of the “World Space Week” project was dedicated to “The Effect of Space Weather on Ground Based Infrastructure”.
Professor Olugbenga Ogunmodimu, a scientist at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Manchester Metropolitan University(England) made a presentation on "Modernity in space, air and ground infrastructure”.
Participating in the seminar, the head of the Department of Mathematics of BEU, associate professor Rakib Efendiyev, and professor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology Rashid Kamal Ansari exchanged views on the presentation.
“World Space Week” is held every year from October 4 to 10, and events are organized in different countries around the world. The aim of the project is to highlight the role of space science and technology in the development of modern society.
It should be noted that this is the second seminar organized by BEU and Pakistan University. In accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two universities, a joint international online scientific seminar "Borders in Mathematics" was held on September 17 this year.
