An intellectual competition dedicated to "2025 - Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" on Azerbaijani history was held among students at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Head of the General Subjects Department Humeyre Mustafayeva, speaking at the opening of the event, stated that a series of educational events have been implemented at the university in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in our country. She emphasized that the intellectual competition among students is part of this series of events. She added that the main objective is to strengthen young people's knowledge of Azerbaijan's history, develop analytical thinking skills, and encourage them to exchange knowledge with peers studying in different specializations. The department head, evaluating the competition as a positive platform for young people to learn richer knowledge about our country's past and contemporary history, wished success to the participants.

Subsequently, the department's senior lecturer and one of the organizers of the competition, Elnur Najiyev, explained the rules of the quiz to the students.

Participants were divided into teams: "Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering," "Electrical and Electronics Engineering," "Industrial Engineering," and "Architecture." In the competition consisting of two stages, participants were presented with questions related to Azerbaijani history.

In the end, first place was taken by the "Industrial Engineering" team, second place by the "Electrical and Electronics Engineering" team, and third place by the "Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering" team.

Respective diplomas were presented to the team members.
