A meeting has been held at the Azerbaijan Technical University in the framework of the Erasmus + KA2 project on "Crisis and Risk Engineering for Transport Services".
The meeting was attended by the Head of Sector of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yashar Omarov, Head of International Relations and Project Management Department of BEU Arif Najimov, Head of Graduate Studies and Doctoral Department, assoc.prof. Rauf Mammadov, assoc.prof. of Mechanical Engineering Department Bakhtiyar Namazov, Employees of Azerbaijan Technical University and Azerbaijan Technological University, as well as employees of National Erasmus + Office Zafar Hasanov, Naila Gasimova, Dean of the Transport Faculty at Warsaw University of Technology Professor Marianna Jacyna and CRENG Erasmus + KA2 Project Manager Dr. Konrad Levchuk.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the works done and the challenges confronted ahead during the year that the Erasmus + KA2 project on CRENG, as well as to find solutions to the challenges. It was noted that during the project, the curriculum of the new master's program "Transportation Logistics" was improved by teachers and experts from European universities, including Berlin Technical University in Germany, Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France and Warsaw University of Technology. Moreover, the opportunities were pointed out for the development of dual master's degree programs. BEU has all the material-technical as well as personnel potential to develop a dual master's degree program and has already obtained preliminary agreement with the Warsaw University of Technology.
It should be noted that currently 5 active Erasmus + KA2 projects is being implemented. “Reconstruction and Development of Doctoral Studies in Azerbaijan in accordance with requirement of European Higher Education Area(NIZAMI)” was completed in April this year.
