Merey Yermekov, a third-year civil engineering student of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of Baku Engineering University (BEU), a citizen of Kazakhstan, who is studying at the university under the Inter-Governmental Scholarship Program, has participated in the II Multilateral Youth Exchange Program called "Let's unite in sport".
The exchange program was attended by sports-loving young people from member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as students of Azerbaijani universities.
During the week-long program at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex, the participants took part in trainings and lectures on various topics related to sports, joined an experimental workshop, and also tried themselves in sports such as basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, and swimming.
Certificates were presented at the end of the program to the participants who got to know the history, material and spiritual heritage of the city of Guba, which was chosen as the "Sports capital" of 2024.
It should be noted that the event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Organization of Turkic States, the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports.
