The first meeting of the Scientific Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU) for the 2025-2026 academic year has been held.

The Chairman of the Council, Rector Yagub Piriyev, reminded that the new academic year would begin next week and extended his congratulations to the meeting participants on this occasion. The rector emphasized that important tasks lie ahead for the further development of the university and touched upon the work to be carried out and strategic goals in the areas of improving the quality of education, strengthening scientific activities, and expanding international cooperation.

Subsequently, in accordance with the agenda, reports were heard on the issues of "Results of the summer examination session and ways of organizing education at a modern level" and "Results of student admission in 2025 and proposals for the admission plan for 2026." Extensive discussions were held around each report, and the reports were deemed satisfactory, taking into account the suggestions and opinions of the Scientific Council members.

Following this, appropriate decisions were made regarding conducting some structural changes, sending documents of two university employees to the Higher Attestation Commission for obtaining scientific degrees, as well as examining a number of other issues.   

During the meeting, which continued with the discussion of current issues, Chairman Yagub Piriyev gave a series of assignments and recommendations to the university's structural leaders.
