Female employee of BEU awarded scientific title of professor

According to the relevant decision of the High Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philological Sciences Tarana Hajiyeva, head of the department of Azerbaijani language and pedagogy of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has been awarded the scientific title of professor.

In 2008, Tarana Hajiyeva successfully defended her PhD thesis on "Linguo-political problems of the impact of globalization on language". She is the author of the monograph "Actual Problems of Linguistics", which is considered the first linguistics research in the science of linguistics of Azerbaijan. The monograph published in the form of a book covered the topics of "Linguopolitics as an interdisciplinary field of science", "Theoretical issues of Linguopoliticology", "Subjects and problems of Linguopoliticology", "Linguopoliticological aspect of specific extralinguistic and intralinguistic factors of the 21st century", "Language policy", "Globalization and localization processes of Turkish states" influence on language policy" and "legal-linguistic aspects of the state language policy of independent Azerbaijan". It is possible to refer to the scientific conclusions and provisions in the book as a source in future scientific research.

Tarana Hajiyeva is also the author of the textbook "Theoretical issues of linguistic analysis of literary text". In the book, the linguistic, lingopoetic, cognitive and mentalinguistic picture of the examples of artistic language was involved in a wide analysis based on the rich artistic language facts of different languages, eras and genres based on the provisions of language theory. The textbook is intended for the teaching of the subject "Linguistic analysis of the literary text", which is among the specialty subjects of the bachelor's and master's degrees of the philology faculties of higher schools.
