An extended meeting of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been held.
At the meeting, the results of the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year by faculty and the state of preparation for the spring semester teaching process were discussed, reports on the organization of teaching, scientific research and educational work were listened to.
The Dean of the Faculty, associate professor Mayis Azizov noted that the dynamic growth was observed in the results of the fall semester for the faculty, and a positive growth trend was recorded in the number of students who received good and excellent grades for the faculty. The Dean also touched upon the main points, including the state of preparation for the spring semester teaching process, the criteria that determined teachers' attitude to the lesson, proper organization of teaching, SDF (semester internal activity) results, compilation of the syllabus containing the information necessary for the student to study the subject, teaching aids, bringing the necessary issues into consideration.
Emphasizing that the results of the semester were commendable, Khanlar Heydarov, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs added that there were few appeals made by faculty students to the Appeals Commission regarding exam results, and these appeals were mainly due to technical errors. Speaking about the upcoming tasks related to the teaching process of the spring semester, the Deputy Dean also pointed out issues such as the students' more responsible approach to education, the importance of uninterrupted attendance, strict adherence to the curriculum, increased attention to disciplinary rules, the state of preparation of electronic journals, etc.
Elsever Ibadov, the Deputy Dean for Educational Affairs, informed the participants about the criteria determined by the faculty for the determination of student scholarships and self-evaluation in the accreditation process.
At the meeting, discussions and exchange of views on speeches were held, and questions were answered as well.
