Teachers and students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) visited the Museum of Public Education. The excursion, attended by the members of the Student Trade Union Committee of the University (THIK), group representatives of the Faculty of Education, was organized by the Trade Union Committee of BEU.
Visitors were given detailed information about the museum's history and exhibits. It was noted that the main purpose of the activity of the museum, created on the basis of the pedagogical exhibition organized in 1930 and Pedagogical Museum, was to preserve the history of the development of pedagogical thought, science and education in Azerbaijan, carry out scientific research in this field, and promote the activities of the most prominent personalities.
The exposition of the museum, which is based on scientific-historical foundations and adheres to chronological sequence, is placed in six halls. In the first hall of the museum, the holy book of Islam from the 18th century "Quran" is kept. II hall includes education at the end of the 19th century, the beginning of the 20th century, while, III hall education in the years 1918-40, IV hall the development of higher and secondary education, V hall the creation of orphanages, boarding schools in the years 1941-45, 1946-80, and documents and materials on the development, activities of geducational institutions, technical vocational school.
VI hall , which is dedicated to the development of education in Azerbaijan during the years of independence, consists of three sections, and the attention and care of the state for education is the main direction of the exposition of Hall. "Heydar Aliyev and education" reflecting the activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev for the development of education in Azerbaijan, materials reflecting the large-scale activity of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the field of education and the care of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for education are displayed in the hall.
During the excursion, the museum staff answered the questions of teachers and students in detail.
