The summer exchange program organized within the framework of international cooperation between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) of the People's Republic of China has ended.
The participation of the 46-member delegation of BEU in the exchange program contributed to the professional development of teachers and students, the expansion of their global perspectives, and the strengthening of intercultural dialogue and friendship.
Delivering an opening speech at the closing ceremony of the program, Yu Yue, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education of BUCT, welcomed the participants and emphasized the important importance of the event in terms of international cooperation. Later, a video clip of the activities carried out during the program was demonstrated.
Speaking at the event, Li Qifang, Head of the School of International Education at BUCT, and Atraba Gul, Vice-Rector for International Relations at BEU, expressed their belief that the cooperation between the two universities, founded this year - the 2+2 dual diploma program in Chemistry, Computer, and Mechanical Engineering, and implemented from the current academic year, would strengthen scientific and educational relations, noting the positive results achieved in the exchange program.
Afterwards, Aysu Jabrayilova, a participant in the program and a BEU student, shared her thoughts on the Chinese education system, research opportunities at universities, as well as her pleasant impressions of Chinese culture.
At the end of the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to the program participants.
Of note, the cooperation between BUCT and BEU also supports the 4th (Quality Education) and 17th (Partnership for the Goals) directions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
