Under the joint arrangement of Department on work with enterprises and career and Internship Department of Baku Engineering University(BEU), a meeting has been held with the employees of “Günay Sığorta” OJSC.

    The meeting aimed to give advice to the IV year students on building successful career.

    During the meeting, it was noted that the insurance sector was a new and developing sector in Azerbaijan, as well as information about vacancies in the insurance company was given. Along with the higher education and language knowledge, experience is priority in the selection of personnel and interviews process of the insurance company. Moreover, the demand for actuary field is high. The importance of mathematical knowledge in the actuarial field, as well as significance of the ability to analyze and conduct research were emphasized.  

    Employees of the company (Kamala Aliyeva, Head of Human Resources and Secretariat Department, and Saida Fatullazade, Head of Marketing and Public Relations Department) expressed their interest in the training of professional personnel in insurance activities. They provided detailed information about the “Student Internship Program” announced by the company in order to enable students to participate in this process and gain experience. Thus, students want to build a career in the insurance company and gain knowledge in this field can submit their CVs to office@gunaysigorta.az till November 30. In the subject, students should indicate the name of the university and the department they want to have internship.  At the end, the company will offer a job to successful students.
