A educational-methodical meeting of the World Economy Department of Baku Engineering University has been held. Speaking at the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrtive Sciences, Associate Professor Mayis Azizov spoke about the importance of the issues on the agenda.
    Associate Professor Shahriyar Mukhtarov, Head of the Department of World Economy, said that special attention should be paid to the preservation of the sequence of subjects, special preparation of syllabi of subjects taught in specialty, and non-specialty groups, presenting syllabi to students in the first lesson and giving a general explanation of the topics to be taught.
     Associate Professor Shahriyar Mukhtarov also spoke about the importance of choosing a topic that reflected the economic development in our country and conducting research in this direction in order to strengthen the scientific potential of the department.
In particular, the preparation of syllabi for subjects such as "Introduction to Economics", "Microeconomics", "Macroeconomics" taught in the World Economy Department was discussed with the staff of the department. Associate Professor Mayis Azizov stressed the importance of careful attention to the choice of topics when preparing syllabi, taking into account the closeness of the topics of these subjects. The meeting also decided to use economics books, the theoretical and practical information of which was more innovative, as scientific literature for teaching lessons.
