An event "Green Travel: On the Road to Ecology" has been held under the organization of the "Techno Club" operating under Baku Engineering University (BEU) Student Trade Union Committee (THIK), presented by Aga Mehdiyev, a well-known traveler and an active participant in volunteer programs.

At the event aimed at educating young people on environmental issues, students were given extensive information about the role of COP29 in Azerbaijan's national priority of "green development" until 2030, the importance of alternative energy, and topical issues of ecology.

Talking about his trips to about 300 cities of more than 40 countries of the world by various means of transport, especially by bicycle, trainer Aga Mehdiyev shared the main goals of his ecological, green trip to Europe with the participants of the event. He said that during these long trips, which he called ecological peace, A.Mehdiyev closely followed the effects of global climate change on various geographies, got to know first-hand the scenes created by natural phenomena in most countries, and also exchanged views on the environmental problems of the world with ordinary European people whom he met at the events he attended and at random addresses. The trainer added that he achieved the goal of calling people for environmental peace in his travels and witnessed that the consequences of climate change concern all societies.

The trainer said that the COP29 hosted by Azerbaijan is a new step in the construction of a green world and a sustainable future, and emphasized that this international event can mobilize all participating countries for a safe humanity.

The event continued with a question-and-answer session after the information session.

At the end, the students who were active in the discussions were presented with a book.
