Educational event “Azerbaijani Solidarity Fest” organized at BEU

An educational event called “Azerbaijani Solidarity Fest” and dedicated to December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day has been held in English at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

At the event, jointly organized by the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and the “English Zone” club operating under the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of our lands and those who died as a result of the crash of an “Azerbaijan Airlines” plane near the city of Aktau.

Later, the head of the aforementioned department, Associate Professor Narmina Aliyeva, the head of the project, the senior lecturer of the department Sevda Huseynova, and the chairman of the club Mirhuseyn Aliyev made speeches. It was stated in the speeches that the project aims to raise awareness of local and foreign students studying at BEU about the historical significance of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, the national-spiritual values, and culture of the Azerbaijani people. During the speeches, the historical services and successful policy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the unity and solidarity of the Azerbaijani people were especially emphasized.

The event continued with congratulations from our compatriots living and studying in Germany, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Nigeria, Pakistan, as well as competitions in English on solidarity called “Guess the landmark” and “Q&A”. The active participation of foreign students in these competitions was met with great enthusiasm.

At the end, the winners were presented with gifts from the STUC.
