Baku Engineering University (BEU) is participating in the “University Partners Summit Hangzhou 2025” held in the People's Republic of China.
The summit, which was organized by Beihang University and started in Shanghai, continued in Hangzhou. International joint laboratories were inaugurated here and various cooperation agreements were signed. Representatives of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Education, Zhejiang, as well as Hangzhou management, Beihang University and other state agencies, and higher education institutions made speeches at the ceremony. The speeches emphasized the role of strengthening the innovation-based education system, developing human capital, as well as scientific and research cooperation in strengthening strategic partnerships between countries.
The event continued with the presentation of the summit's keynote speech dedicated to the theme of “Building Innovative, Collaborative and Comprehensive Sustainable Global Partnerships”. After the presentation, roundtable discussions were held with the participation of scientists, university rectors, and vice-rectors from different countries of the world, as well as free group exchanges among the deans of Beihang University and the heads of partner universities. The participants shared their positions on the goals of global scientific partnership, innovation-oriented education, and sustainable development, and voiced their proposals for mutual cooperation in the field of science and education.
BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul exchanged views with the heads of partner universities on the implementation of joint projects, teacher and student exchange, and the development of scientific research within the framework of the event. In separate meetings with representatives of state universities from Brazil, Spain, and a number of countries participating in the summit, the initiative for joint cooperation among higher education institutions was put forward, and the importance of establishing relations in terms of expanding the international academic network was emphasized.
