The Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has conducted a monitoring to check the data in the “Google Classroom” virtual classroom application. The monitoring, which lasted from March 29 to April 5, was related to the quality of content provided to students on the University's e-learning platform. Comments and suggestions observed during the monitoring were conveyed to the relevant departments to improve the quality.

BEU Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center has been operating since the beginning of the current academic year. The main activities of the center are the organization of distance learning within the university, as well as improving the quality of services provided in areas such as teaching and management.

According to the relevant instruction on distance learning, one of the tasks of teachers is to post information and materials related to the content such as syllabus, online lecture (Google Meet), lecture texts and textbooks from the first day, as well as video recordings of lessons on the e-learning platform. One of the main tasks of the center in the field of distance learning during the academic year is to check the data in the “Google Classroom” virtual classroom application.

Moreover, at the beginning of the semester, the center identified standards and quality indicators related to the content of the e-learning platform, prepared guidelines for departments and faculties, and carried out the necessary awareness-raising activities.
